Priyadarshini Sudhir Tadkodkar

Ms. Priyadarshini Sudhir Tadkodkar is an Indian academic studying the field of Indian literature. She was the recipient of the Konkani Book Award from the Padmashree Dr. T. M. A. Pai Foundation from Manipāl-Karnātaka in 2006. Ms. Tadkodkar was born on 1954, 14th December in Portuguese India i. e. Goa at Vasco-da-Gama, the then a modest harbour-town in Goa.

Education

Ms. Tadkodkar's primary learning and secondary and college education was completed in Madgaon, the cultural capital of Goa of Salcete Saasashttee Mahal. She had opted for Sanskrit, Marathi and Hindi for Bachelor of Arts programme while studying in the Shrimati Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science (University of Bombay) situated at Vidyanagar and excelled in the subjects. She successfully completed her postgraduate study programme and was awarded Research Fellowship by the University of Bombay. She underwent successfully the studying programme of Diploma in Higher Education of the same University.She was a high ranked cadet of of 1 Goa Battalian, National Cadet Corps (Panaji). She also underwent a crash course in Journalism. She learnt Russian language for a while.She has written poems, research articles and books.

University Teacher

Tadkodar is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Konkani at Goa University.She specialises in Indian Poetry, Tiatre (Konkani Theatre in Goa) and Literary Criticism.
