The Small Throne Room of the Winter Palace, St Petersburg, also known as the Peter the Great Memorial Hall, has columns of jasper. The room was created during a rebuilding of the palace in 1833, bt the architect Auguste de Montferrand. Following a fire of 1837, the room wwas recreated in its original style.
