Robert H. Storey (born
1942 or1943 ) is a Canadianbobsled der who competed from the mid 1960s to the early 1970s who later became a businessman and chairman to twocommunication companies inCanada . Since 1994, Storey has been the fourth president of theFédération Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing (FIBT - International Bobsleigh and Tobogganing Federation) and was instrumental inVancouver being awarded the2010 Winter Olympics .Bobsleigh career

Ottawa, Ontario , Storey got intobobsleigh in the mid 1960s. He first became known when was part of the Canadian four-man team that crashed on the bobsleigh track atLake Placid, New York in theUnited States in February 1966 that took the life of Italian-born, Canadian-emigratedSergio Zardini and severely injured fellow bobsledder Michael Young. bobsleigh in the early 1970's, Storey became involved in thecommunication andbroadcasting business in Canada. During his broadcasting career, he founded South Fraser Broadcasting Limited, and later served as president of Teraca Communications. Storey was later a consultant for Masabe and Company. Since 2005, he has been on the Board of Directors for theCanadian Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. which is headquartered inToronto .
