As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 552 people, 209 households, and 152 families residing in the village. Thepopulation density was 46.3 people per square mile (17.9/km²). There were 222 housing units at an average density of 18.6/sq mi (7.2/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.37% White, 1.27% Native American, and 0.36% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.36% of the population.There were 209 households out of which 34.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.4% were married couples living together, 2.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.8% were non-families. 22.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.64 and the average family size was 3.14.
In the village the population was spread out with 29.3% under the age of 18, 3.8% from 18 to 24, 28.3% from 25 to 44, 25.4% from 45 to 64, and 13.2% who were 65 years of age or older.
