Dinkar Pandya

Dinkar Vrijlal Pandya (born 14 March 1896, date of death unknown) was a Gandhian. Pandya was a prominent citizen of the Indian Freedom Movement and was associated with Mahatma Gandhi during the Indian freedom struggle. He was one of the 80 people who joined Mahatma Gandhi during the Dandi March (also known as the Salt Satyagraha) in 1930. He was born in Harsol, Gujarat, India.

Purina Mandal ---reminiscences of Gandhian era.Vision and passion of Freedom Fighters. ..to fight for Indian Independence... the time was the turn of 1900 India under colonial rule dominated shackled, and subservient. It was very difficult then to imagine what freedom and self rule could actually be.Under the cloud of inspiration Purina Group in Gujarat dared to dream the India could stand Proud and tell if she attained the total freedom Britishers at any cost.RAY OF FAITH kindled their spirit. A flame of reason fuel ling their urge to pursue to fulfill their dream of independence and translate them as land mark in the history of freedom struggle. Thus began a story of single minded mission of independence. inspired by professor, Arvind Ghosh and under the able steward ship of Chotubhai and Ambubhai Purina, formed a team. with indomitable courage and spirit, they set out to enable change in prevailing conditions. the team worked for improvement in health .hygiene and spread the message of literacy and education and revolt against age old tradition and custom that hindered the progress . they started athletic movement for the youth for the various part of Gujarat.GYMNASIUM were also the central meeting place to spread the message of Indian independent for youth activity .There was no room or avenue to further business gain or to amass personal wealth The youth actives to join the Purina Group then were of the firm belief that it was their a rare privilege to share their dream and vision for free India .Each and every one of the activist were a real gain over a period their valour courage and team spirit , help Gandhian moment of non violence against the suppressive Rulers .... and they also were accountable for in their en devours individually and collectively for the sacrifice for the cause of the nation . They were extraordinary Men living in extra ordinary time Saree Dinker Pandya who was one the many dedicated activist who joined the group initially under the command .
