Meeru Island Resort is an Island holiday resort on the easternmost tip of North Malé Atoll in the Maldives. The Island is also known as Meerufenfushi. Meeru Resort is some 50 kilometres from the capital Male. The 70-acre (280,000 m2) island is surrounded by a lagoon and long stretches of white, sandy beach, is the only resort on the island of Meerufenfushi. The resort is made up of different types of rooms. There is a choice of restaurants and bars on the island as well as a coffee shop.
Location - South West of Sri Lanka, on the equator.
Geography - Formed above peaks emerging from the depths of the ocean, upon layers of both living and dead coral, and remnants of other marine life, Coconut palms towering above dense shrubs and hardy plants protecting the shores from erosion are natural features.
