Federal Correctional Institution, Texarkana

The Federal Correctional Institution of Texarkana is a United States federal prison in the state of Texas. It is a is a low-security facility used for the housing of male inmates. A nearby satellite prison camp provides housing to minimum security male offenders.

The institution is located in northeast Texas, near the Arkansas border. FCI Texarkana is convert|70|mi|km north of Shreveport, Louisiana, and convert|175|mi|km east of Dallas, Texas.

Notable inmates have included Tony Alamo, Billy Cannon, Dan Morales, and Richard Michael Simkanin, L.A. Drug Kingpin "Freeway" Rick Ross, and former Concordia Parish Sheriff Noah W. Cross of Ferriday, Louisiana.
