- Australian Hayabusa Club
The Australian Hayabusa Club came in to being late in 1999 as a network for Australian owners of the
Suzuki GSX1300R , or Hayabusa. For a history of the Australian Hayabusa Club and how it was formed please visit our main link below and find History page. The main idea behind the club has been to provide a forum where owners can share their experiences and ideas, technical or otherwise, for the benefit of all owners. To this end, there is a general rejection of formality and structure. The down side has been the occasional free-for-all which, although has alienated a few, the club as a whole has managed to weather. Likewise, responsibility for organising rides has not been delegated, and therefore occur haphazardly.
A few businesses in the bike industry, including retailers, mechanics, and media, have recognised the club, and generous support from these has led to some extremely successful charity fund-raising.
The club has come together en-masse on two occasions. Both times at Jindabyne, in the Snowy Mountains, in late 2004 and 2005. Due to poor weather both times, the next annual get-together has been scheduled for March 2007. Please visit our Forum for more up to date Annual Meetings.
