A Wonka Bar is a fictional chocolate bar first described in the 1964 novel "
Charlie and The Chocolate Factory ". The candy bar has been shown in both 1971 and 2005 film adaptations, each with different packaging. An actual candy bar was made by theWilly Wonka Candy Company , a division ofNestlé .The Quaker Oats Company originally wanted to create a bar in time to publicize the 1971 film, but failed to do so. In the documentary "Pure Imagination", producerDavid L. Wolper claims the bar was actually released to stores, but recalled due to a production problem. The 1971 film was financed to the tune of $3M US by Quaker Oats.Gallery
