1997 song byTarkan . Its lyrics were written bySezen Aksu , with music credited as composed by Aksu, Tarkan andOzan Çolakoğlu at the time. It formed part of the album "Ölürüm Sana " ("I'd Die For You") by the Turkish pop star Tarkan.It was released in France in
1998 and the rest of the world in1999 , from the compilation album "Tarkan" released in Europe.It sold two million copies all across Europe.

The song
As Tarkan's first major single, the song is generally considered his debut single. He had released three albums before this, but never released a song in single format due to the album-orientated nature of the Turkish music industry.
The song has also appeared in soundtracks of various movies, including French movie "Beau Travail" and American movie "
XX/XY ".The single is generally considered Tarkan's signature song in Europe. Its chorus ends with two characteristic
kiss sounds.It has been covered several times:

Along with a promotional vinyl release of the single, there were three 12" versions released for promotional use/club DJs, too.
* "The Divine Mixes": This special release held four tracks: the Ned Divine 12 inch mix, Ned Divine 7 inch mix, Malagutti Remix (extended) and the radio edit (published in the UK).
* "Zio Dub Remix" : The second release was a special 12" Zio Dub Remix along with the radio edit (published in France).
* "Şınan Mixes" : This held two tracks, the sub and dub mixes.
* "Hakan Mixes" :Power mix
A promotional CD single was released in France, with an orange cover. This was the first ever release and included one track. This is now a collector's item. There was also a limited edition (fan-edition) single released in Germany, which came with a poster of Tarkan. - "courtesy of Ali Yildirim".
