"Kiss Kiss" is a dance-pop song written by Juliette Jaimes, Sezen Aksu and Steve Welton-Jaimes, originally a Turkish song called "Şımarık" by Tarkan. Stella Soleil first covered the song in English in 2001. Holly Valance then recorded the song for her first studio album "Footprints". The single was released on April 29 2002 (see 2002 in music) as a CD single.

The music video for Valance's version featured her in a range of costumes with several male performers. The video attracted controversy when the director's cut (a risque version) appeared on television featuring Valance apparently naked. She maintains that she was "not" naked, and from the video, all we can see are well placed lights protecting her genitalia. "Kiss Kiss" was nominated for 4 ARIA Awards at the 16th ARIA Awards in 2002.

The single also debuted at number-one in the United Kingdom on May 5th 2002, selling 143,408 copies in its first week. [http://www.theofficialcharts.com/zoom.php?id=925 The Official UK Charts, "Kiss Kiss" Page] ]

The song made its debut on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart and UK Singles Chart at number one, it was Valance's first number one single. It went to spent nine weeks in the ARIA Charts top ten, thirteen weeks in the top twenty and a total of seventeen weeks in the top fifty. In countries like Ireland, Italy, Taiwan and Finland the song went to peak in the top ten. Austria, Greece, Sweden, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland and Denmark is where the song went top twenty. It was certified Platinum by ARIA and Gold by BPI.
