In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening

"In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening" is a popular song written by Hoagy Carmichael, with lyrics by Johnny Mercer for the 1951 movie "Here Comes the Groom". It won the Academy Award for Best Original Song.

The recording by Bing Crosby and Jane Wyman was released by Decca Records as catalog number 27678 [ [http://settlet.fateback.com/Dec27500.htm Decca Records in the 27500 to 27999 series] ] . It first reached the Billboard magazine Best Seller chart on September 21, 1951 and lasted 6 weeks on the chart, peaking at #23. cite book
