"Working Through Pain" is one of six short films that make up '. The screenplay was written by Brian Azzarello from a story by Jordan Goldberg, and it was directed by Toshiyuki Kubooka with Kevin Manthei who did the music. Actor Will Friedle previously played Terry McGinnis / Batman on "Batman Beyond," which this segment reuniting him with Kevin Conroy. Kevin Michael Richardson also voiced The Joker on "The Batman"

"Working Through Pain" is MPAA Rated "PG-13".

Plot

While seriously wounded, Batman recounts his training under a mysterious Indian woman named Cassandra, to whom he had turned to find a way to deal with his pain. He was told that there is a spiritual method to dealing with pain, as there is no way to entirely overcome it. Though an incident had led Cassandra to becoming feared and hated by some, much like Batman is, not even she can completely help him with his pain. In the end, Batman must take his pain and use it to his own advantage to attain his goals.
