Deluxe Music is a German Free-to-Air music television channel for the target group of adults. The channel was founded 2004 by the German media entrepreneurs Markus Langemann and Cosmin Ene and started broadcasting on April 1, 2005. It is operated by Munich based DELUXE Television Group, which is also operating four pay-TV channels and two radio stations.
DELUXE MUSIC can be received in more than 25 million households throughout Europe, of which 12 million households are located in Germany. The channel is distributed via the Astra 1H satellite, cable and IPTV.
In the pay-TV sector the DELUXE GROUP is operating the channels DELUXE ROCK, DELUXE SOUL, DELUXE GROOVE. DELUXE LOUNGE HD has started broadcasting November 2009 and can be seen on German PayTV platforms.
The DELUXE GROUP furthermore operates two radio stations, DELUXE RADIO and DELUXE LOUNGE RADIO, both broadcast Europe wide via Satellite, worldwide over the Internet and via cable within large parts of Germany.

Main target group are 25+ year olds who have outgrown MTV and who are looking for high quality music entertainment.
Reception
The Free-TV channel DELUXE MUSIC is distributed across Europe via satellite (Astra 1H (19.2° east), Frequency 12.246 GHz, vertical (symbol rate: 27.5 MSymb/s; FEC: ¾), via cable (in many German and some Benelux, Swedish and Spanish cable networks) as well as via IPTV in Germany (T-Home), in France (Free) and in Spain (Orange). During 2007 it has also been broadcast throughout Kosovo through the IPKO Cable TV. A 24/7, free of charge Internet stream is a nice goodie that can be seen all around the world.
The pay channels DELUXE ROCK, SOUL, GROOVE can be seen on T-Home Entertain, the IPTV platform operated by German telco provider Deutsche Telekom. DELUXE LOUNGE HD can be seen on KabelBW.
