Spout Run Parkway

Spout Run Parkway

Spout Run Parkway is a spur from the George Washington Memorial Parkway in Arlington County, Virginia, USA. Like the George Washington Memorial Parkway, it is administered by the United States National Park Service. The parkway takes its name from Spout Run, a Potomac River tributary, which it parallels most of its course. From the George Washington Memorial Parkway to Lorcom Lane, the Spout Run Parkway is federally maintained. From Lorcom Lane to Lee Highway (U.S. Highway 29), Spout Run Parkway is a surface street and is designated State Route 124. South of Lee Highway, the street loses its state highway designation and changes its name to Kirkwood Road. Spout Run Parkway provides an indirect connection from the George Washington Memorial Parkway to U.S. Highway 29 and thence to Interstate 66.

Before Interstate 266 was cancelled, it would have included a freeway upgrade of part of Spout Run Parkway.
