The family of Malekula Central languages is a subgroup of the Malekula Interior languages. It consists of 8 languages.

  • Lingarak
  • Larevat
  • Litzlitz (Naman)
  • Maragus
  • Nasarian
  • Katbol (Avava)
  • Vinmavis (Neve'ei)
  • Uripiv

A 2008 analysis of the Austronesian Basic Vocabulary Database[1] fully supported the unity of four Malekula Central languages, dividing them into two groups, Tape-Naman, and Neve'ei-Avava.
