"Aashirwad" was a popular Hindi television serial that aired on Zee TV in 1998. The serial was based on story of two best friends whose raise their next generation in different style from one another.

Plot

The story of two friends who raise their children in contrasting styles – one allowing them all possible liberties and the other keeping a strict hold on them. It explores the central theme of whether leniency in up-bringing of children is justified or not and traces the consequent pros and cons as the children grow up and mature into adults.
