Maarja Kivi (born January 18, 1986 in Tallinn, Estonia) is an Estonian musician, and former member of the girl group Vanilla Ninja. Born to Riina and Madis Kivi. She has a brother, Vahur and two sisters, Helen and Kristi.

She started her career in the spotlight by competing in the 2002 Eurolaul, the Estonian competition to find an entry for the Eurovision Song Contest. Later that year she became one of the original four members of Vanilla Ninja, taking on the lead vocals and role of bassist in most tracks on their first two albums, "Vanilla Ninja" and "Traces Of Sadness". Kivi left the group in mid-2004 due to make real rock and metal music not pop-rock, and was replaced by Triinu Kivilaan.

In December 2005 Kivilaan left Vanilla Ninja. As of January 2006, however, Vanilla Ninja seem to be continuing as a trio.

Maarja has, since late 2005, been attempting a solo comeback under the name Maarja. Although her solo comeback would at first prove unsuccessful, her single "Could You" would peak at #35 in the Swiss chart, launching Kivi back into the public spotlight.

Kivi is currently signed to Bros Music, who parted company with her former group in late 2005. Despite the rift between Bros and the now three-piece Vanilla Ninja, it seems that Kivi is remaining part of the label, and has continued her affiliation with the group's former manager David Brandes.

In 2006 Kivi published har second single, Shine It On. The Single got three tracks, and reached rank 16 in MTV Baltic TOP 20.Later this year, there was rumours that Kivi separate with BrosMusic. And after a few weeks, it was proved that the rumours were true.Kivi has not told which music labes she is in now, but in July 2007 news about producer of Iron Maiden, Kevin Shirley is working on a heavy-metal album for Kivi.

In December 2007 Kivi decides to change her performance name Maarja into Marya Roxx. Such changes happened because Kivi wanted to forget about all the past in Vanilla Ninja and associations with that group and to start her own solo career. Marya Roxx will use this name for commercial use, but her real name always will be Maarja Kivi.
