- Speedway Academy League
The Academy League is a Speedway mini-league and cup competition that aims to develop young talent in the
United Kingdom and is governed by the Speedway Control Board (SCB), in conjunction with theBritish Speedway Promoters' Association (BSPA ). Youth teams from the Elite League and Premier League take part.Riders must be above the age of 14 years old to take part (as opposed to 15 years old in the Conference League) as under 14's are not allowed to obtain a registration for a 500cc speedway
motorcycle and the maximum age for participants is 23. Participants must also not be in an Elite League or Premier League team's declared line-up. Meetings are contested by two 4-rider teams over six heats immediately after senior meetings.External links
