Lower Darwen railway station was a railway station that served the village of Lower Darwen, in Lancashire. The station was built by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway in the 19th century and closed on 3 November 1958cite book | title=Lancashire's Lost Railways | last=James | first=David | isbn=978-1-84033-288-9 | oclc=56002103 | year=2004 | publisher=Stenlake Publishing | location=Catrine, Ayrshire ] by British Rail, and subsequently was demolished. The station was located to the north of the B6231 [cite web | url=http://www.npemap.org.uk/tiles/map.html#368,424,1 | title=New Popular Edition Maps] Fore Street, which the railway crosses on Rakes Bridge. The line on which the station was situated remains open with services between Clitheroe/Blackburn and Manchester Victoria being operated by Northern Rail.
