Dimitris Papadopoulos (Greek: Δημήτρης Παπαδόπουλος; born August 15, 1966 in Greece) also known by his nickname "The Doctor", is a retired Greek professional basketball player. He played for Iraklis BC. Dimitris Papadopoulos and Lefteris Kakiousis were the key players of the team.
He was a Greek Cup finalist in 1994. Papadopoulos is the 2nd scorer, the 1st rebounder, the 1st in 3 points and the 3rd player in participations in Iraklis BC history. [1] He also played for AEK Athens BC. He was a member of the Greek National Squad that won the silver medal at the Eurobasket 1989. He also won the 6th place in the 1990 FIBA World Championship.
He is the coach of Apollon Patras BC.
