Medal record Competitor for Greece European Championships Gold 1987 Greece Team Competition Memos Ioannou or Agamemnon Ioannou (Greek: Μέμος Ιωάννου; born April 15, 1958 in Greece), is a retired Greek professional basketball player.
He had a successful career with Panathinaikos BC as he won 6 Greek Championships (1975, 1977, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1984) and 3 Greek Cups (1982, 1983, 1986) with the club.
In 1991 he won the European Cup Winners' Cup championship while playing for PAOK BC.
In 1993 Memos Ioannou won the European Cup while playing for Aris BC.
He was a member of the Greek National Squad that won the gold medal at the Eurobasket 1987, and the 6th place in the 1990 FIBA World Championship.
After his playing career he became a professional basketball coach.
