Knockraha

Knockraha is a village in east County Cork, Ireland. In the village there is a pub, church, primary school and community hall.In Knockraha there is a cemetery and in that cemetery there is a vault that is known as Sing Sing, that is because during the War of Independence 1916-1921 that vault was used as a prison by the Cork No 1 Brigade IRA to hold British soldiers, Spies, Informers and any other persons who were considered a threat to the Movement
