Nicolás De Bari Hermoza Ríos is a former General of the Peruvian Army who served as the Commander General of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces under Alberto Fujimori. His time as Commander General was marked with corruption and human rights abuses. He signed the order to carry out detentions of opposition figures, such as journalist Gustavo Gorriti and President Alan García, during the 1992 autogolpe. When the Democratic Constitutional Congress investigated the La Cantuta massacre, Hermoza Ríos threatened to launch a military coup. He is currently imprisoned.
