Originally founded in 1988. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Capitol Broadcasting Company, Inc., a privately held diversified communications company with headquarters in Raleigh, NC [2].

Video Services and Expert Resource Network
Microspace's Expert Resource Network gives broadcast news producers access to thousands of thought leaders from almost every major university in North Carolina including Duke University, Wake Forest and North Carolina State University in addition to top corporations and management consulting firms.
Although it originally offered thought leaders from North Carolina-based colleges and universities only, the network has recently been expanded nationally to include expert sources from Washington D.C., Atlanta, Boston, Texas and more.
These thought leaders provide commentary on hot topics and issues in the news. Some of these topics include the housing market, the upcoming presidential election and public health.
Microspace streamlines the liveshot production process for news producers and enables broadcast and cable networks seeking subject matter experts to connect remotely, via satellite or fiber feeds.
