The Wrecking Crew (2008 film)

"The Wrecking Crew" is a 2008 documentary film directed by Denny Tedesco. It covers the story of the LA based group of session musicians known as The Wrecking Crew, famed for having playing on numerous hit recordings throughout the 60's. The film premiered at the 2008 South by Southwest Film Festival.

Features interviews with Al Casey (guitar), Bill Pitman (guitar, Danelectro baritone guitar), Bones Howe,Brian Wilson, Cher, Dick Clark, Don Randi (piano), Earl Palmer (drums), Gary Lewis, Glen Campbell (guitar), Hal Blaine (drums), Herb Alpert, Jimmy Webb, Joe Osborn (bass), Julius Wechter (percussion), Lou Adler, Lou McCreary (trombone), Micky Dolenz, Nancy Sinatra, Plas Johnson (sax), Roger McGuinn, Tommy "Snuff" Garrett, Tommy Tedesco (guitar)

The film is playing in film festivals in North America currently: Buffalo Film Fest 3/24-3/29, and will be closing the Nashville Film Festival April 24. It had it's World Premiere on March 11, 2008, in Austin, TX, at the South x Southwest film festival.
