The mall is currently, as of March 2008, building a new Bealls behind the Macy's, to replace the current in-line store. As of July 2008, the store has been now opened.

KBTV-TV, the Beaumont-Port Arthur NBC affiliate, is located inside the mall, near Dillard's.

Renovations

In 2003, the mall underwent a significant renovation It featured new paint, flooring, lighting, furniture, and few years later, a new exterior featuring a colorful tan colorscheme replacing the white 1970s look.

Dillard's Women and Hurricane Rita

Dillard's once had two stores, Dillard's Men's & Kids, and Dillard's Women's & Home Store until September 24, 2005, when Hurricane Rita hit Beaumont, Texas. It caused lots of damage to the Dillard's Women's & Home Store. In 2006, Dillard's Women's and Home Store had joined in with the Dillard's Men's and Kids, making it a sole location. The Women's had been near the food court. It was demolished in 2006 and rebuilt as a new Bealls location. Renovations are now complete to the building.
