Rewrite (horse)

Rewrite (foaled 2003 in New York) is a Thoroughbred racemare which competes in the United States. Owned by Amherst Stable, Rewrite's dam, Fickle Friends is a half-sister to 2002 Breeders' Cup Classic winner, Volponi. Rewrite's sire, Editor's Note, won the 1996 Belmont Stakes, the third leg of the Triple Crown.

Rewrite is a turf runner trained by Christophe Clement and has won seven of 13 starts, according to Equineline.com statistics, and has earnings of $338,255. Among her wins are four stakes victories: The 2007 Ticonderoga Handicap (Belmont Park), the 2007 Dinner Diamond Stakes (Saratoga Race Course), the 2007 Gaily Gaily Stakes (Aqueduct), and the 2006 Irish Actress Stakes (Belmont Park).

Rewrite was bred by Amherst Stable, who co-owned and bred Volponi who was trained by the late Hall of Fame trainer, Philip G. Johnson. Johnson and his family members began Amherst Stable in the mid-1980s.
