John Manchester Allen (
3 August 1901 –28 November 1941 ) was aNew Zealand politician of the National Party.He represented the Hauraki electorate from 1938 to 1941, when he died. He was killed in action with the
NZEF during an offensive inLibya .He was a farmer in
Morrinsville , and anAnglican lay-reader. He was born inEngland , and educated atKing's College, Auckland , and atPembroke College , Cambridge where he graduated with MA and LLB degrees.Further reading
