Georgi Hristov ( _bg. Георги Христов) (born January 10, 1985) is a Bulgarian football player, who is currently playing for PFC Levski Sofia.

Plovdiv

Hristov started his career in his hometown of Plovdiv in the local team Maritsa.For five years in his first club he took part in 87 matches and scored 39 goals. He also became B PFG top goalscorer in 2005/2006, scoring 18 goals for Maritsa and A PFG top goalscorer in 2007/2008, scoring 19 times for Botev Plovdiv. Since 2007/2008 he has been playing for Botev Plovdiv.

PFC Levski Sofia

On 04 July 2008 he ended his contract with Botev Plovdiv and became a free-agent. On 23 June 2008 he started training with PFC Levski Sofia. Georgi made his unofficial debut for Levski on 05 July 2008 in a friendly match against Spartak Pleven. Levski won the match and the result was 5:0. Hristov played awesome and scored one of the goals. He signed his 3-year-contract with PFC Levski on 06 August 2008.

Hristov made his debut in Europe on 13 August 2008 in a match against FC BATE Borisov. He played very well, but Levski lose the match. The result was 0:1 with a home lost.

Georgi made his first hat-trick for Levski on 17 August 2008 in a match agaisnt his ex-team Botev Plovdiv. Hristov scores in 5th, 46th and 56th minute.

National team

On 17 August 2008 Georgi Hristov was called up to the Bulgaria national football team. The event took a place, because of injure of Valeri Bojinov, so Bojinov was replaced by Georgi Hristov. However, Hristov remained an unused substitute for the game against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
