Season in Review

The Michigan Wolverines football team led by Coach Bo Schembechler tried to send out their coach on a high note. They started off by losing a tight game to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish but reeled off ten straight to end the regular season. Highlighted by blowing out Minnesota for the Little Brown Jug by thirty-four and beating Ohio State by ten at home. Runningback Tony Boles rushed for eight hundred hirty-nine yards and Michael Taylor threw for one thousand eighty-one yards to lead their teams. Greg McMurty was the leading reeiver with forty-one catches for seven hundred eleven yards. They reached the Rose Bowl in 1990 but lost to USC by just a touchdown. Bo Schlembacher retired after that game.
