Palestinian village in theRamallah and al-Bireh Governorate , located 21 kilometers northwest ofRamallah and adjacent to its sister villageal-Lubban al-Sharqiya in the northernWest Bank . According to thePalestinian Central Bureau of Statistics , the village had a population of 1,500 inhabitants in mid-year 2006.
