Doherty Memorial High School
The school has about 1,600 students, in grades 9 to 12, in the Worcester Public Schools district.[2] The school's principal is Sally Maloney.[1] The schools serves the west side of Worcester.
Competitive teams
Doherty Memorial High School has varsity teams in math and these sports: track, volleyball, baseball, lacrosse, football, cross country, soccer,field hockey,basketball, cheerleading and tennis.
Notable Alumni
- Sam Seder, Comedian, writer, actor, film director, television producer-director, and talk radio host[3]
- Dan O'Connor, Alan Day and Jake Massucco are alumni that have started an American hardcore punk band, Four Year Strong.
- Jimmy Demers, Singer, Songwriter and Concord Music Group Recording Artist. Jimmy was the voice of Coca Cola's "Always Coca Cola" World-Wide Campaign throughout the 1990s.
- Donnie Demers, Songwriter, musician and recipient of 1983 "Donnie Demers Day" in the city of Worcester, MA.
