Liz McClarnon (born 10 April, 1981, Liverpool, Merseyside, England) is a British pop singer and member of the band Atomic Kitten.

Atomic Kitten

Even though McClarnon loved to sing as a child, she never imagined that it would become her career. She wanted to study law after secondary school, but her music teacher was impressed by her singing abilities and arranged her to take part in an audition by Andy McCluskey, who wanted to set up a girl band. In 1997 McClarnon became one of the original members of Atomic Kitten and she co-wrote many of the songs during her time in the girl group. She is the only original member of Atomic Kitten due to the other two leaving; Heidi Range was replaced by Natasha Hamilton by 1998, and Kerry Katona was replaced by Jenny Frost in 2001.

Atomic Kitten have sold over 8 million [ [http://www.lilmcclarnon.net/index.php?pid=6 Official biography of Liz McClarnon] (Accessed Aug 1, 2006)] albums and singles around the world. Many of their singles and albums entered the Top 40 charts worldwide such as "Right Now", "Whole Again", "Eternal Flame", "The Tide Is High" and "Ladies Night".
