Aaron (Lamanite)

"This article is about the Lamanite figure in the Book of Mormon. For other uses, please see Aaron (disambiguation)"

According to the Book of Mormon, Aaron was a Lamanite king who lived during the 4th century A.D. in the Americas. He is mentioned in Mormon's record as a man who led 44,000 Lamanites to battle against Mormon's Nephite army of 42,000. [lds|Mormon|mormon|2|9] Mormon's army prevailed in the battle, although ultimately the Nephite armies were conclusively defeated, which marked the end of their civilization. Mormon described the armies of Aaron as exercising "awful brutality". [lds|Mormon|mormon|9|17]
