Susy Kane is an English actress, comedy writer and musician.

She is the daughter of opera singer Alison Warner and actor and writer John Kane, a former associate artist of the Royal Shakespeare Company and the creator of British sitcom "Terry and June". She is also the younger sister of fellow comedy writer and actor Simon Kane. She is of French Huguenot and Celtic ancestry.

She grew up in Wandsworth, London, and attended St Paul's Girls' School followed by winning a scholarship to Westminster School. She studied Chinese at Edinburgh University. [http://www.byretheatre.com/archive/detail.php?autoProd=121]

She began studying jazz piano at the age of 12 and started singing jazz professionally in London clubs at the age of 16. She has written event music for the London Eye and played gypsy fiddle for the Charlotte Church album "Tissues and Issues".

As an actress she performed in three seasons at the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh, and played both Miranda and Ariel in RSC director Alison Sutcliffe's 2005 production of The Tempest. Her recent TV credits include Saxondale, Gavin and Stacey, Comedy Shuffle, ITV's Comedy Cuts, Things Talk (various voices), Miranda Hart's Joke Shop, new BBC1 comedy drama Parents of the Band with Jimmy Nail, and played "lads mag" cover girl Amy in the Celebrity Big Brother House in Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's "Extras" Christmas Special.

She plays Pippa in comedy radio series "Bleak Expectations" on BBC Radio 4.

She has written sketches for topical BBC radio sketch show "Recorded For Training Purposes", BBC Comedy Shuffle, ITV's Comedy Cuts and is a series writer on BBC Three CGI sketch show "The Wrong Door.

She lives in North London.
