"GoBingo" is the interactive game show on GMA Network and it is first aired on April 14, 2008 (on its second season) which is hosted by Arnel Ignacio. The first season of GoBingo was aired from 1996 to 1999.

History

GoBingo was first aired in 1996 which was hosted by Arnell Ignacio and Maricar de Mesa (as the first GobiGirl). Ignacio won the Best Game Show Host in PMPC Star Awards for Television in 1997 for Gobingo. After airing for almost five years, the show was reformatted to a sportsfest-like gameshow and retitled as Golympics.

Game format

1996-1999 (First Season)

There are three contestants with each respective "bingo boards" (which has 15 boxes) on 3 different screens. Each correct answer from the player, randomly lights up one of the numbers in their respective screen. All the numbers that are lit up in the whole episode are the numbers "in play" or the ones that are "called up". These are the numbers that the home viewers will mark on their bingo cards which they got from exchanging the sponsor's products in assigned redemption centers.

In each round, there is a designated pattern to be created. In the first round, each correct answer highlights a number from the corners of the board. In the second round. the pattern is a straight vertical line (center only), while on the last round is the blackout round.

If a home viewer marks all the 15 boxes in their card they win the jackpot of the day. If someone already won the jackpot at home (they know it through computer), the remaining unlit numbers in the studio screens will change to diamonds, the first player who fills up all their 15 boxes in their screen proceeds to the bonus round.

BONUS ROUND- the screen has 16 boxes each with a question. the game starts when the player shouts his first number. if the answer is correct, the number changes to a peso sign. if not, it turns to a blank. the object of the game is to create a pattern of peso signs whether horizontal, vertical, or diagonal within the alloted time of 45 seconds. The studio jackpot and the viewer jackpot is entirely different.

2008 revival(Second Season)

After 9 years, GoBingo returned on April 14 2008. Ignacio reprises his role as its host and the GobiGirls were recently daily, played respectively by Joy Velasco (Miss Teen World 2007), Rain Larazabal (sister of Maureen Larazabal), Lyka Feliciano, Cristina Fariñas and twins Bebs & KC Hollman. [ [http://www.journal.com.ph/index.php?issue=2008-01-28&sec=3&aid=47399 'Gobingo returns'] ] After three weeks, Krissa Mae Arrieta (Miss USA-Philippines 2007 Expo)is now the permanent GobiGirl. Also the GoBingo game cards before during the first season airs are now changed into scratch cards which it is text by its unique code to send and some commercial sponsors are changed for homeviewers. Unlike before many sponsors are advertise for more than 10-12 sponsors (in the first season) but now it is down to 7 sponsors for this season. Any proof of purchase ( its depends on size and its quality) would exchange for GoBingo scratch card(s) from any selected Mercury Drug stores nationwide (instead from supermarkets, groceries, etc.) for home viewer game portion. The bonus round boxes are now added to 25 instead of 16. Then another bonus game is to get nine GoBingo logos without getting three times of sad faces to win a brand new car after a contestant would complete a pattern in the first bonus round but, a new format exists in the second part of gobingo (from week 14 onwards..) if he/she cannot complete the pattern in the first bonus round he/she can have another chance to play in the bonus plus round for a brand new car. In the second bonus round, if a contestant gets nine GoBingo logos, he/she would win a brand new car worth a million pesos, however if he/she gets three times of sad faces, it means he/she would not get a brand new car and it will stop the game until in this stage but his/her total prized money still retains. And for every Gobingo Logo he/she succeeds he/she gets an additional cash prize of 1,000 pesos for every logo appeared.

The P 1,000,000 Pesos GOMillion Edition

A Total Of Php 1,150,000 will be given away to the player who could form the Blackout or 15 numbers within the first 18 numbers of the Gobingo Game. If there is no winner for the P1,000,000 Gomillion Game in the first 18 numbers it would still be the Php 150,000 jackpot onwards until a winner has been declared.
