Tom Silver

Tom Silver is the Founder and creator of the Tom Silver Institute of Hypnosis which is dedicated to teaching more advanced and accurate scientific methods of hypnotism. He also has a private hypnotherapy practice in Westlake Village, California, where he helps clients to change their lives.

He has successfully trained and helped thousands of students of hypnotism and other therapists for many years and is currently teaching advanced courses in Scientific Hypnotherapy in America and in England. He is considered by some people to be one of the leading experts in group-hypnosis, physical & shock hypnosis induction methods, fears & phobia removal, and emotional replacement therapy.

He has toured the world conducting seminars, lectures, and live demonstrations on hypnosis is one of the first hypnotists in the world to create a procedure of mass-hypnosis of foreign language subjects - through an interpreter. "Interlingual Hypnotic Trance Induction"

Together with Dr. Ormond McGill - the 'Dean of American Hypnotists', he has co-authored two books, The How-To Book of Hypnotism and Hypnotism A Hypnosis Training & Techniques Manual - The Real Questions & Answers.

Taiwan

In 1994, he was asked by a Taiwanese Representative to bring the science of hypnosis to Taiwan and the Asian culture. While in Taiwan between 1994-1997, he lectured about the positive therapeutic values of hypnosis and showed actual live demonstrations on national Taiwanese television shows hypnotizing some of the most famous people in Taiwan. He also lectured about the usage of hypnosis in memory activation to the Taiwan Police Academy and spoke about hypnosis for sports focus, energy and concentration to members of the Taiwan Olympic Committee. While in Taiwan he also gave lectures and live hypnosis demonstrations to students, professors, doctors and businessmen. His goal was to have the Asian culture accept the science of hypnosis and start to utilize it in therapy practice.

Between 1997 and 1999, he was asked to help out the Taiwan Government, and worked with The Taiwan Department Of Defense helping to activate memories for an investigation to help the Taiwan Government find some answers to a weapons procurement scandal with France and the murder of a Taiwan Navy Officer. He worked this case with the Taiwan Defense Department, Navy and Police a total of three different times. In July 1997 The Taiwan Minister of Defense awarded him and his interpreter a Gold Plate of Honor for our work with forensic hypnosis and memory activation. They were very pleased with the results.

The Taiwan Department of Defense and Government was the first official government and country in the world to recognize hypnotism by this award of honor for hypnosis. In December 1999 the Taiwan military released the very first hypnosis self help healing program called "Reborn From Disaster" which was a self hypnosis audio program that he created and his interpreter Dr. Huang narrated to help victims and military personal who were traumatized by a devastating earth quake in Taiwan in September of 1999. This self help program to overcome negative emotions, traumas and fears was given away for free by the Taiwan Military.
