Seng Kang Primary School (zh-sp|s=成康小学|p=Chéngkāng Xiǎoxué) is a government
primary school inSingapore , and is the first school to operate inSengkang New Town . It started in1997 at Upper Serangoon Road, and moved to its new premises at Compassvale Walk inSengkang in1998 .History
Seng Kang Primary School first accepted students in
1997 , when it was still inHougang , along Upper Serangoon Road.In 1998, it moved to Sengkang and resumed operations at Compassvale Walk, in a new school compound.
In 1999, Compassvale Primary School, which was supposed to start operations in its new school building, shared the school compound with Seng Kang Primary. This was because the roof of Compassvale Primary School collapsed during construction and thus caused a delay in the completion of the school building. Compassvale Primary returned to its original building in 2000.
