tributary of theAthabasca River , exiting entirely withinJasper National Park . The Snake Indian forms atSnake Indian Pass , south ofMonte Christo Mountain andSnake Indian Mountain , north ofCalumet Peak . Theriver travels in a general northwest direction before turning sharply south.
