Poyle railway station was a
railway station on the outskirts ofLondon , on the now closed line of theStaines and West Drayton Railway . It was commonly referred to as Poyle Halt.It opened in 1927 to serve the village of
Poyle and closed when passenger services on the line ceased in 1965. Part of the line north of Colnbrook remains open for goods services. Part of the former route is involved in theHeathrow Airtrack proposal to connectStaines withHeathrow Airport .
