- Setu Madhavrao Pagdi
Setu Madhavrao Pagdi (1910-1994) was an Indian historian.
He grew up in Andhra Pradesh under Nizam's rule, studied in Benaras, and lived in Mumbai in his adult life. He wrote many books (mostly in Marathi) and graced many committees dealing with historical research.
He was an expert at
Urdu and Persian. His autobiography 'Jeevan-Setu' was published by Continental Prakashan in 1969.Great work of Setu M. Pagdi
He is remembered for his great work on Srinath Madhavji Shinde alias Alijah Mahadji Scindia of Gwalior. Srinath Madhavji Shinde was one of the most honored Maratha and ruler of India. Srinath Madhavji Shinde worked truly very hard for the upliftment of Indian Society and saving our nation from the foreign invaders like, Ahmedsha Abdali, Muhammad shah, Timur shah, Najib, Zabita khan, Atai Khan, Ghulam Qadir , and later fighting against the Britishers. Uniting all Indian kings against the English.
