Teddy Saunders was born on
August 29 ,1911 , the youngest of nine children, inOttawa ,Ontario ,Canada . He grew up in Ottawa and played his minor hockey in Ottawa before turning professional. He joined the Canadian army for World War II and was trained as a dental technician. After the war, he settled in Ottawa and started a dental laboratory making crowns and dentures.Playing career
