David Pocock (born 23 April 1988 in Zimbabwe) is an Zimbabwean-born Australian Rugby Union player for the Western Force in the Super 14 competition. Pocock currently plays for the Force where he made his debut against the Sharks in 2006. The Super 14 regulations kept Pocock for playing any earlier in the season as his was not yet 18. Pocock made appearances for Australia A in the 2007 IRB Pacific Nations Cup earning many man of the match honours in many games of the tournament. Touted as a future Wallaby Pocock has been tipped to be a future great of the game mainly for his non stop play that saw him force more turnovers in a match where he was pitted against 2006 IRB player of the year and All Blacks captain Richie McCaw.David Pocock has been selected for the 2008 Wallaby spring tour of Hong Kong and Europe.
