, also known by her alias Holi, is a
Japan ese singer, born inTokyo in 1958. Holi collaborated withBrian Eno andU2 on their 1995 project, the Passengers. Her smash hit debut theme song, "Koi Ni Ochite” (Fall in Love)" from 1985's popular show "Kinyoubi no Tsumatachi e" made her famous in Japan. In 1995 Brian Eno had wanted a Japanese female vocalist for his Passengers record so he called a friend of a friend who was in a relationship with Holi and so she went to Dublin to record a few songs, one of which would end up on the record as "Ito Okashi" which means Beautiful Things; a series of random sentences to dreamy, ambient music with Japanese chimes.
