- Louis Consalvo
Louis "Louie Eggs" Consalvo (b. 1958) is a New Jersey mobster and reputed "soldier" in the
DeCavalcante crime family .A lifelong resident in
Old Bridge Township, New Jersey , Consalvo reportedly joined the North Jersey basedDeCavalcante crime family during the disappearing of longtime reputed Underboss, Louis "Fat Lou" LaRasso, in 1991, who Consalvo is reportedly to have murdered along withGregory Rago andAnthony Capo in return for becoming made men. [http://www.ganglandnews.com/column200.htm]Later in the mid 1990s, Consalvo and Rago began working in a social club on
Mott Street in New York, as well as operating with various criminal activities onManhattan , which eventually led to a dispute between the New Jersey and the New York families. At a sitdown in New York, reputedDeCavalcante crime family Acting boss, Giacomo "Jake" Amari andConsigliere Stefano "Steve the Truck Driver" Vitabile represented the family, along withGambino crime family captain/street boss Nicholas "Little Nick" Corozzo andColombo crime family actingconsigliere Vincenzo "Vinny" Aloi, where the represantives of New York meant that Consalvo's operations should've gone to one of theFive Families , as those criminal operations were in New York City, and not New Jersey. The conflict was eventually resolved peacefully when it was ruled that theDeCavalcante crime family could no longer 'make' members outside of New Jersey andSouth Philadelphia , which was another area that the DeCavalcantes had traditionally recruited from. racketeering ,loansharking ,illegal gambling andextortion activities. But as Amari died in 1997, and Vincent "Vinny Ocean" Palermo seized control of theDeCavalcante crime family that same year, massive indictments were put on 50 members of the family, including Consalvo, who was charged with various criminal activities, including themurder ofLouis LaRasso in 1991.
