*USS "Morris" (1846b), was the Mexican schooner "Laura Virginia" captured by US Naval forces in the Gulf of Mexico in October 1846 and taken into the Navy as "Morris". Dimensions and builder are unknown. "Morris" was sold at the end of the Mexican War in 1848.
