Brian Edwards (born October 6, 1984 in Summit, New Jersey) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Major League Soccer side Toronto FC.

In a 4-year playing career at Wake Forest, Edwards put up fantastic numbers, posting a career 0.78 GA average , 44 career shutouts, and led the Demon Decons to the NCAA Division I soccer championship in 2007 with a win over Ohio State. During his college years he also played with Carolina Dynamo of the USL Premier Development League

At 2008 MLS SuperDraft, Edwards was drafted number 28 overall in the 2nd round by Toronto FC. Having impressed, Coach John Carver brought him on as the back-up goalkeeper behind Greg Sutton.
