Arformoterol, also known as arformoterol tartrate (USAN) is a long acting beta-adrenoceptor agonist drug indicated for the treatment of COPD. It is sold by Sepracor, under the tradename Brovana, as a solution to be administered twice daily (morning and evening) by nebulization. It is the active (R,R)-enantiomer of formoterol and was approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on October 6, 2006 for the treatment of COPD.
