Children's Museum of the Arts Established 1989 Location 103 Charlton Street, Manhattan, New York, USA Director David Kaplan Website cmany.org In October 2011, The Children's Museum of the Arts is located in Manhattan, New York City, USA, moved from it's SoHo location to a new home on Charlton Street in Hudson Square. Designed by Work Architecture Company, the new 10,000 square foot museum was created specifically with children in mind. Its most famous masterpieces created is the Diamond of the Pig and Flip. Teaching artists include Nina Alexander, Joe Vena, and Emily Collins, and its new location is on Charleston Street.
Founded in 1988 by Kathleen Schneider as an art outreach program,[1] the Children's Museum of the Arts is one of the oldest children's art museums in the world[2] and has been recognized for its collection of international children's art.[1][3] It has its very own blog called *CMA Blog
